Work out crosswind, headwind and tailwind components from a runway heading and the wind — with gusts, real aircraft limits and a live runway diagram.
Paste a full METAR and the wind group is read automatically — direction, speed and gust.

The arrow points the way the wind is blowing, in toward the runway.
Max demonstrated crosswind component
Reference figures only. On Part 23 light aircraft this is the strongest crosswind actually flown during certification, not a legal limit; on transport aircraft operators usually make it a hard limit. Your POH/AFM/FCOM is the authority.
Crab on final, then de-crab with rudder and lower the into-wind wing before touchdown. Expect to carry aileron through the rollout.
Hold aileron into wind, keep the centreline with rudder, and lift off positively so the aircraft does not settle back onto the runway.
Runway 27 is already the better direction.
For planning and training only. Not for navigation. Always use official weather sources and your aircraft's approved flight manual.
Have the figures above explained: why the technique is what it is, and what to watch for. It will not tell you whether to fly — that call is yours.
Runway numbers are magnetic. Winds passed by ATC or on the ATIS are magnetic too, so they go straight in. But the wind in a written METAR or TAF is referenced to true north — where magnetic variation is large, correct for it before entering the direction.
